Clamps Dictionary
Overview
Notation and Usage
The Clamps Dictionary has been inspired by the CM Dictionary, which was an original part of Common Music 2. Rather than interfering with the original, the additions of the Clamps package have been separated into their own pages here.
Both dictionaries are accessed by the same Emacs keyboard shortcut <C-c C-d c>, issued from any lisp buffer with the cursor at the end of any Dictionary symbol after starting Clamps (see Online Help System; the mechanism is integrated into the Clamps system when using the standard Installation).
The Notation of the Clamps Dictionary is simpler than the Notation used in the CM Dictionary. Function and Macro definitions use the definition syntax of the function or macro with the initial defun or defmacro removed.
Names of argumens in the Arguments section of entries are printed
in red
and emphasized words appear in green.
